In 1968 a black mask gold male was purchased from Kevin & Joyce Percival of Janrarn Kennels Sired by UK Imp from champion lines he did not turn out to be a show dog, So Barbara & Frank Skiltlon of El Tazzi Kennels had a dog returned to them Sired by International Nat Aust Ch Bdin Vdam Imp Holland he was to become our first Champion and our first BIS.
The 1st Afghan with the 'Aboukir' Prefix was born in 1972 a blue male who had 7 BIS when blues did not win such awards his sire was 'Ch Calahorra Quetzcoatl' this was followed by our 1st black & tan bitch who was to become a Multi BIS 'Ch Nancing Jocasta'(Shan).
When Walihahdin was mated to Shan this produced BIS 'Aboukir Magic Moselle'(cream) & Black sister 'Aboukir Magic Empress' who went on to produce Multi BIS 'Aires Blondes Have More Fun' for Gengala and specialty BIS 'Ch Aries My Stars'
But a important bit in our program was 'Aust Ch Aboukir Supernatrual' who when mated to 'Ch Quom Starspangle Banner' produced 'Aboukir Brazen Sooty' Australian top producing Dam of all time , 18 Champions some dual 10 Best In Show Winners
These include 'Aust Ch Aboukir Calypso Kate' Top Hound in NSW 1987 & No.1 AHC of NSW
In 1989 a repeat breeding of 'Aust Ch Aboukir Calypso Kate' a very young 'Ch Aboukir High Priority' became the No.1 Hound & No.1 Afghan AHC of NSW
1992 - Teddy was the top Afghan of AHC of NSW
1993 - He tied for the same award
1994 - Teddy was the top winner Afghan of AHC of NSW
'Ch Aboukir High Priority' (Teddy) was retired before his 8th birthday with 90 Best In Shows
2008 - Currently Sire of 45 Champions around the world, 8 of these were produced from frozen semen includes 'Grand Ch Aboukir Repeat Offender'
& currently on Dogz on line 'Rising Stars Puppy' is Teddy's cream daughter 'Aboukir Drama Queen'(AI) whom has gained 100 points at 8.2 months & over 20 in show awards.
